The Cathode Company independently made inventions in surface modification, doping, particle matching and special sintering process to produce the world's leading cathode materials. The Anode Company has made great achievements in the research of anode material mechanisms (the correlations between particle shape and processing performance, between particle diameter and multiplying power, between specific surface area and fast charging, between binding and expansion, etc.). The research results are applied on the development of products and technologies with promising outcomes.

Strong R&D strength and investment guarantees Shanshan Energy’s leadership in LCO, as it exclusively makes 4.48V high-voltage LCO products.

Shanshan is highly market-oriented in product development. Currently there are 4 pilot test lines, 1 button battery test line and 2 full-electricity test lines.

Shanshan is the largest supplier of lithium battery materials in China. Horizontally along the value chain, Shanshan has captured synergies in joint development, technology sharing, customer resource sharing and long-term strategic cooperation. Vertically along the value chain, Shanshan strategically tapped into upstream of cathode material by participating in the private placement of China Molybdenum (CMOC), better securing resource supply.
